Meet Alexandra,
The Bumpologist
Who Am I
From as far back as I can remember, birth and babies were sacred in my world. I grew up in a large, loving family where pregnancy was celebrated, motherhood honored, and children cherished. Surrounded by glowing bellies and newborn cries, I knew early on that this chapter of life held a special kind of magic.
That deep-rooted fascination led me to pursue a six-year degree in osteopathy in France, followed by a specialization in perinatal, pediatric, and gynecological care. I wanted to be an expert who understands the human body with precision—and who supports women with both science and empathy.
My Journey
I first built a thriving and fulfilling career in France, where I ran a successful osteopathic practice. I worked with hundreds of patients from all walks of life—babies, children, adults, and seniors—and collaborated with hospitals and other healthcare professionals. It was a rich and diverse experience that shaped the foundation of my expertise.
Life then took me across the ocean to Canada, where I discovered the powerful work of doulas. That training opened a whole new path for me—one where my hands could offer relief, my voice could bring reassurance, and my presence could help women feel held and empowered throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Thanks to my strong clinical background and passion for education, I was invited to join the faculty of one of Montreal’s leading osteopathy academies. There, I taught gynecology, obstetrics, and pediatrics—guiding future practitioners through the deep connections between body, emotion, and life transitions. It was an incredibly meaningful chapter of my journey.
These experiences gave me a new perspective. I was no longer just treating the body—I was teaching and accompanying women through one of the most intimate and vulnerable moments of their lives. It was the perfect complement to my osteopathic practice.
Later, as I settled in the U.S., I faced a different kind of reality: a medical system that often feels rushed, clinical, and confusing—especially for expecting parents. During my two high-risk pregnancies, I realized that my professional background had become my lifeline. Without it, I would have felt completely lost.
It became clear to me: I had to share this knowledge with others. Not to replace anyone—but to fill in the crucial gap between medical care and emotional, practical understanding.
Why The Bumpologist Exists
I created The Bumpologist to be the kind of support system I wish every woman had.
A calm, safe space where you’re heard.
Where science meets softness.
Where you get tools, not overwhelm.
And where both you and your partner feel truly prepared for what’s ahead.
Whether I’m coaching you through pregnancy milestones, explaining what the OB didn’t have time to, or helping you understand your options, my goal is always the same:
To empower you with clarity, calm, and confidence.
A Mother’s Perspective
I’m also the proud mom of two little boys, born just 16 months apart. Becoming a mother myself gave me an even deeper understanding of the emotional rollercoaster that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be.
There’s beauty, yes—but also fear, confusion, and information overload. That lived experience shapes everything I do today: from the way I guide you through the medical system, to the warmth and realness I bring to every session.
What I Believe
I believe that when couples are informed and prepared, they feel stronger, closer, and more confident.
I believe in supporting—not replacing—the medical system, by helping you make sense of it.
I believe that emotional safety is just as important as physical safety.
I believe in joy. In calm. In making space for both.
And I believe you deserve to look back on your birth story with pride and peace.
A Final Note
If I’m not coaching couples through birth prep or answering a mom’s late-night question, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen—baking for my boys or testing a new recipe to share with other moms.
Because nurturing takes many forms. And whether it’s through healing touch, thoughtful coaching, or a warm plate of food, my purpose remains the same:
To help you feel strong, cared for, and truly seen.
With Warmth,
Alexandra
